Time is one of the most valuable resources we have but also cannot be replaced. We have been part of many different networking groups over the years and have found an overall formula to determining whether or not the networking event is worth the time investment. There are sales stats that show that 80% of deals are made in the fifth to twelfth connection. You have to find your touch point and every connection will be slightly different depending on type of business and who your target is.
In today’s age of social media and technology, it is easy to reach out to the world on a grand scale. Unless you track your return on your time investment however you will never find your touch point. If you reach out via some form of technology to 1,000 people a month, you may get 71 people to react to that technology touch then out of those 71 people you may actually get in front of 3-5. It takes time and effort to track your touch point but it is all a numbers game. Once you find your touch point you can track your return on your time investment.

The sub groups consist of investors actually doing business in the valley and they usually love what they do and are happy to share tips, systems and resources they have already found. Some will even mentor you through your first few deals. Again you need to find the group that has the best ROI for you based on your business model and this can take some time. Surrounding yourself with likeminded people is not only inspirational but often translates into better business and a bigger network. We know that in our industry there is no better way to grow than face to face interaction with one another.
